Apparently, Preity Zinta was not part of the original cast
Preity Zinta is making her comeback to Bollywood with the film Bhaiaji Superhit.
This film is based on a gangster who aspires to be a superstar.
On 7th August 2018, Preity Zinta shared the official poster of the film on her Instagram.
The Veer Zara phenomenon captioned her post:
“Back with a bang! Meet #SapnaDubey in #BhaiajiSuperhit on the 19th of October in a theatre near youu! #PZisBack! ??”
In the poster, Zinta sports a new avatar and is seen holding a revolver with a bright red saree and loose curls in her hair.
Once the poster had been unveiled, many Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar congratulated Zinta on her exciting news and comeback into Bollywood.
The popular director has previously worked with Preity on the globally adored film Kal Ho Na Ho.
Johar immediately congratulated Zinta on Twitter and shared how excited he was about the film. He said:
“Preity!!!! So happy to see you back with a bang!!!! In this amazing new avatar!!!!!! Biggest hug and tons of love and luck on the film!!!!!”

The announcement of this film has received a very positive response and Zinta even took to Twitter to reply to some of her excited fans under the hashtag #PZisback.
She shared the same excitement as her fans as she replied to a lot of tweets.
Although nothing has been revealed about the film, Zinta’s avatar in the poster indicates that she is playing a rowdy’s wife.
On Twitter, she spoke about how she is excited about her role because the character Sapna Dubey is such a lively and bold energy to portray on the silver screen.
The film has a big star cast, as Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Arshad Warsi and Mithun Chakraborty will also be featured in this film.
Neeraj Pathak is directing the film but interestingly, Bhaiaji Superhit was supposed to release in 2012 and apparently Preity Zinta was not part of the original cast.
The first poster for this film was released in March 2012 and was inspired by a photoshoot Jonny Depp did at the time.
Then in 2013, the adequate funding was sourced for the film and Zinta was signed.
From this, the filmmakers wanted to release the film in 2014. But have waited till now to make an official announcement.
In this time, Preity Zinta got married to American businessman Gene Goodenough on the 29th February 2016. The couple has been married for two years.
Since marriage, the actress spends most of her time in America but is often spotted in Mumbai as she has always had a keen interest in Indian cricket. Notably, she is one of the owners of IPL team, Kings XI Punjab.
One of her last films, in which Preity was also a producer and a writer, Ishkq in Paris was not received very well at the box office.
The film was rumoured to only make £21.3 million internationally. First Post stated: “Watching Ishq in Paris is like assaulting your logic and sensibilities.”
Despite this, many Bollywood fans are excited by PZ’s new venture. Many are eager to see the trademark Zinta wit and charm resurface in her latest release.
Bhaiaji Superhit is set to release on 19 October 2018.
