“I appeal to people to please urge Twitter to restore my account."
Former Bigg Boss contestant, Payal Rohtagi’s official Twitter account has been suspended and the actress has shared her frustration in a series of videos on Instagram.
Payal usually finds herself in controversies. The actress is certainly outspoken and regularly uses social media to voice her opinions.
Recently, Payal made headlines for speaking up about the tragic demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Now, her Twitter account has been suspended for violating rules. Sharing the screenshot of the suspension notification on Instagram, she wrote:
“Just now I am not able to tweet on my verified twitter handle. It is SUSPENDED citing what reasons now.”
Payal then went on to share a video with the caption:
“Why my Twitter Account is SUSPENDED?????”
The actress claims that she received no warning explaining the reason behind the suspension of her Twitter account.
In the video, Payal Rohtagi states that she has never misused the popular site and has never used foul language on Twitter. She explained:
“No reason has been given, no email has been sent to my official email ID and my account has been suspended.
“I don’t know what the reason is. It is for all of you all to figure out with Twitter India that why have they deleted my account.
“Neither do I abuse people nor do I use any wrong words for anyone. I obviously attempt to share facts.”
She further added:
“However, my attempt to do so has been projected in a bad light by liberals and extremists who control Twitter.
“I appeal to people to please urge Twitter to restore my account. Otherwise, I will not be able to talk to anyone.”
However, in another video uploaded by Payal, she lashed out and said: “I want Twitter suspended from India.”
In the video, Payal states the “Salman Khan’s people” could have been behind her Twitter account suspension.
She added that she did not know that the actor was so “revengeful.” She went on to say that she hopes Salman “is a human” as he says he is.
Payal went on to claim that after so long she received an email from Twitter. She was reportedly sent this email at 8 am on Wednesday, 8 July 2020.
Payal continued to mention that no reason was cited for the suspension of her account.
Meanwhile, Payal Rohtagi’s fans and supporters have started a trend on Twitter with the hashtag “#BringBackPayal.”
