"Very good acting. This isn't Indian Idol."
Neha Kakkar faced backlash after arriving three hours late for her Melbourne concert.
The crowd’s reaction turned to mockery when she cried onstage.
In the video, Neha was heard saying:
“You have been really sweet and patient, you have been waiting for so long. I hate it.
“I’ve never made anyone wait in my entire life.
“You have been waiting for so long. I’m so sorry. You mean the world to me. You people are so sweet.
“I was worried what would happen. It means a lot to me. I’ll always remember this evening forever.
“But I’ll make sure, that you have taken out your precious time for me, I’ll make you all dance.”
Fans were not happy with Neha, with one writing:
“This needs to happen a lot more. It’s disgusting the level of ‘fashionably late’ (aka 2-3 hours) so many celebs are allowed to get away with.”
Another wrote: “3 hrs late???? That’s so unprofessional. The least she can do is refund.”
Others trolled her for getting emotional.
One person in the crowd said: “This isn’t India, you’re in Australia. Go back and take rest. We waited for over two hours. Very good acting. This isn’t Indian Idol.”

Mocking Neha Kakkar, a comment read:
“She cries over the smallest of things.”
Some even criticised Neha as an artist, asking why people paid to see her live.
One user said: “People pay money to watch Neha Kakkar???”
A person wrote:
“They’re attending Neha Kakkar’s show. Tbh they deserve this.”
However, some defended Neha, sharing reasons for the delay.
An Instagram user claimed: “The organisers of the event ran with the sponsor money!
“The show was about to get cancelled but she didn’t cancel it and even after such mess, she did the concert just for the audience and thus was hours late.
“That’s why she was crying for making you guys wait.”
Another said: “Do you know the real reason? She did this show without the payment and the dancers and everyone she paid from her own pocket. She came just for audience!”
Others supported her decision to perform despite difficulties, with a comment reading:
“Instead of walking away, Neha chose to perform despite the chaos, despite the delays.
“She was hours late not by choice, but because she refused to let the audience down.”
