ZEE5 Global, the world’s leading streaming platform for South Asian content, is set to premiere the much-anticipated Malayalam horror-thriller Sumathi Valavu on September 26th 2025.
Directed by Vishnu Sasi Shankar, the film stars Arjun Ashokan, Gokul Suresh, Saiju Kurup, Balu Varghese, Malavika Manoj, and Sshivada.
It will stream in Malayalam with Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi dubs.
The film draws its name from a notorious curve in Kerala called Sumathi Valavu.
The site is believed to be haunted after the tragic death of a woman named Sumathi.
According to local legend, those who cross the curve encounter eerie and inexplicable experiences.
The film explores how supernatural encounters entangle multiple characters in a gripping narrative.

Speaking about the digital premiere, director Vishnu Sasi Shankar said:
“Sumathi Valavu is rooted in Kerala’s folklore but crafted for a contemporary audience. It’s not just about scares; it’s about the emotions tied to tragedy.”

Actor Arjun Ashokan reflected on his experience, sharing:
