ZEE5 Global has officially announced the digital premiere of the much-anticipated Kannada romantic thriller Elumale, set to stream worldwide on October 17, 2025.
The platform, known for bringing premium South Asian entertainment to over 190 countries, continues to expand its regional offerings with this gripping love story set in the southern borderlands of India.
Directed by lyricist-turned-filmmaker Punit Rangaswamy, Elumale brings together a stellar cast including Raanna, Priyanka Achar, Jagapati Babu, Kishore, and TS Nagabharana.
Produced by Tharun Sudhir under Tharun Sudhir Kreatiiivez and co-produced by Atlanta Nagendra of De Arte Studios, the film promises a compelling blend of romance, tension, and political intrigue.
Set between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Elumale follows Harish, a humble cab driver from Chamarajanagar, and Revathi, a young woman from a wealthy family in Salem.
Their budding cross-border romance soon becomes entangled with local law enforcement, smuggling rackets, and larger political currents that test their bond.
As the couple navigate loyalty, love, and danger, the film builds towards a tense and emotionally charged climax.
Reflecting on his role, actor Raanna shared: “Harish is a simple, boy-next-door character, and playing him was a journey that felt very personal to me.
“From working on the local slang to understanding his backstory, the process was challenging and rewarding.”
He added: “What makes Elumale special is that it has been made with a lot of heart, and now, with its digital premiere, I hope even more audiences connect with Harish’s story.

Originally released theatrically on September 5, 2025, Elumale marked Punit Rangaswamy’s directorial debut and was praised for its rich portrayal of borderland life, its multilingual nuances, and its emotionally grounded storytelling.
