“I am someone who likes to carry on traditions."
Muneeb Butt has come under scrutiny for sexist comments he made about the role of women in the household.
While he has been seen cooking various dishes for his wife on his YouTube channel, he has also said that they do not have a cook at home because the women of the family should be cooking.
This has sparked controversy and raised questions about the role of women in the household.
Muneeb attempted to clarify his statements, explaining that he used the wrong word when he referred to their decision to not hire a cook as a “rule”.
He said that he prefers to see it as a “tradition” as he likes to carry on traditions in his household.
He believes that when a wife cooks for her husband, it shows her love and care for him and that this improves the emotional connection between the couple.
Muneeb said: “We have a rule at home that we don’t hire chefs, Aimen cooks because that improves the emotional connection between wife and husband.”
He went on to explain that “everyone has their own way of thinking and every household has its own system”.
The actor added: “I am someone who likes to carry on traditions. I still stand by this.
“When a wife cooks for her husband, it not only shows her effort but also her love and care for him.”
While Muneeb’s wife, Aimen Khan, has said that she enjoys cooking for her husband and that he also cooks for her on days when she doesn’t feel like cooking, it is important to note that not everyone has the luxury of having help and support in the household.
Many women are forced to do all the cooking and housework without any assistance and the couple’s comments may reinforce the idea that this is the norm.
This idea is outdated and ignores the fact that many women work outside the home and have other responsibilities.
Additionally, Muneeb Butt’s comments may be particularly harmful because he is a celebrity with many fans who may look up to him and follow his example.
In the past, the actor has been criticised for making other misogynistic comments.
For example, he suggested on a talk show that women should be afraid of their husbands getting married for a second time and that they should pamper their husbands to prevent this from happening.
