"me and my team were treated horribly.”
Mouni Roy has accused British Airways staff of mistreating her and her team before questioning whether the alleged poor treatment was racially motivated.
The actress was travelling from Heathrow Airport to Glasgow.
In a now-deleted tweet, Mouni claimed that after arriving from an 11-hour flight, one of her team members was placed on a different connecting flight.
When she requested they be put on the same flight, she claimed a male staff member “flipped”.
Mouni Roy wrote that she had asked “politely” if all four members could travel together, even offering to pay extra.
But the situation escalated when, according to Roy, the staff member, whom she identified as a Muslim man, questioned if she was even willing to fly.
The tweet read: “To mine and my entire team if women’s amazement none of the women standing there supported us but I do believe they are the reason we boarded the flight.
“If it was up to that horrible man, he would laugh and be happy if we missed the flight. Look into this, please.
“I’m not worried at all. Please do look into this for women and people for other countries who aren’t on social media. Thank you.”
Mouni also claimed that she had to practically beg and cry in order for her team to board the same flight.
In another part of her message, she tagged Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded accountability.
You guys must appoint human beings who think everyone is an equal and not racially superior. One shouldn’t have to cry to board a flight if they haven’t done anything wrong and just have had a conversation. That man was horrible but the women even though they understood were…

British Airways soon got in touch and requested Mouni to privately message any details if she needed help with anything.
Responding to the tweet and believing the treatment was racially motivated, Mouni said:
“You guys must appoint human beings who think everyone is an equal and not racially superior.”
“One shouldn’t have to cry to board a flight if they haven’t done anything wrong and just have had a conversation.”
Accusing the airline of siding with their colleague, she added:
“That man was horrible, but the women, even though they understood, were supporting him. Coz team. So no.
“I’ll say what I have to say out in the open coz me and my team were treated horribly.”
She added that during the rest of the journey, no basic amenities were provided:
“Is this racism or let us know what. Not cool!”
British Airways called the allegations “concerning” and said they would look into it.
