"Attempts have been made to suppress my complaints."

Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has publicly appealed to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for urgent justice and immediate protection.

She appealed through her Instagram story, bringing a deeply serious and troubling matter into the open.

Momina alleged that she had been facing online harassment, cyberbullying and death threats for a considerable period of time.

She said that both she and her family had endured severe mental stress and lasting trauma because of the individual involved.

Without naming anyone directly, Momina alleged that a PML-N member of the Provincial Assembly was behind the threats.

She claimed this MPA had been issuing threats to her consistently and persistently over an extended and deeply distressing period.

Momina revealed that she had repeatedly reported the matter to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency for intervention.

She had also approached the Federal Investigation Agency on multiple occasions seeking action against the individual harassing her.

However, despite these repeated attempts to seek help through official channels, no meaningful action was taken against anyone.

What followed was perhaps even more alarming as she alleged active efforts to silence her rather than investigate her complaints. She said:

“Instead of ensuring justice, attempts have been made to suppress my complaints.

“Even individuals associated with the office of CM Maryam tried to discourage and silence the matter rather than allowing a fair investigation.”

This allegation directly implicates people connected to the Chief Minister’s own office in what Momina describes as deliberate suppression.

Momina further revealed that speaking up and seeking legal recourse had made the situation considerably more dangerous for her.

She said that both she and her loved ones were now facing serious and direct threats to their personal safety.

She requested the concerned authorities to immediately conduct an impartial investigation, provide protection to her family, and take strict legal action against those involved.

The actress made abundantly clear that she would not remain quiet indefinitely if her appeals continued to be ignored.

She issued a firm and direct warning to all those she holds responsible for the harassment and the cover-up surrounding it.

Momina warned that if the matter continues to be overlooked, she would hold a full public press conference to expose everything.

She said she would “present all available evidence against everyone involved in the harassment, threats, and suppression of my complaints to protect a political figure.”

Momina directed her final appeal specifically and personally to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz herself in the Instagram post.

She expressed a firm belief that the Chief Minister would ultimately do what is right when confronted with the full truth.

The actress said she believed the chief minister “will take unbiased and lawful action against anyone found involved in abuse of power or obstruction of justice.”

The appeal has sparked widespread discussion online, with many voices from Pakistan’s entertainment industry expressing solidarity with Momina Iqbal.
