On October 15, 2023, Bigg Boss 17 premiered, with Salman Khan returning as the host.
Contestants will stay in a new house with a European design.
According to Salman, the contestants are way more explosive than a bomb and will have to use their ‘dil, dimaag aur dum’ (heart, brain and strength) during their time on the show.
Bigg Boss 17 will feature popular television couples and other contestants.

Abhishek Kumar & Isha Malviya
Udaariyaan‘s Abhishek Kumar and Isha Malviya entered the show and will be one of the most controversial couples of Bigg Boss 17.
The two met on the sets of Udaariyaan and dated for some time before parting ways.
During the Bigg Boss 17 premiere, the pair spoke about their feelings for each other.
However, things quickly became heated.
Salman had to intervene after Isha claimed Abhishek “physically assaulted” her, something he denied.
Rinku Dhawan
Rinku Dhawan’s entry left people surprised.
The actress is best known for Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki.
Following her stint on The Sakshi Tanwar Show, she married Kiran Karmarkar who portrayed her on-screen brother on the show.
The couple separated in 2017 and since then, Rinku has been raising their son by herself.
Arun Mashetty
Arun Mashetty is a YouTuber from Telangana.
With over 600,000 Instagram followers, Arun is one of Hyderabad’s most popular content creators.
Sunny Arya
Also known as Tehelka Bhai, Sunny Arya hails from New Delhi.
The comedian is known for his prank videos on his YouTube channel Tehelka Prank, which boasts over 3.7 million subscribers.
He gained a lot of popularity during the Covid-19 lockdown.
In addition to his pranks, he often helps underprivileged people.
Khanzaadi
Firoza Khan, who goes by the name Khanzaadi, is a rapper and singer from Assam.
She previously appeared on MTV Hustle 2.0, competing against other popular rappers and singers.
Khanzaadi describes herself as a ‘free bird’ and is ready to show her real personality on the show.
Soniya Bansal
Actress and model Soniya Bansal made her Bollywood debut in Game 100 Crore Ka, alongside Rahul Roy and Shakti Kapoor.
Although she is yet to make an impact in the film industry, she has featured in several music videos for Zee, T-Series and Venus.
She also starred in a number of Telugu films such as Dubki, Naughty Gang, Shoorveer, Dheera and Yes Boss.
Jigna Vora
Jigna Vora achieved fame on Hansal Mehta’s Scoop, appearing on the show as a former journalist.
She wrote the book Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison.
The book ended up being adapted into a Netflix series.
On Bigg Boss 17, Jigna detailed her time in prison, saying:
“I was reborn after those nine months in jail.”
Sana Raees Khan
Criminal lawyer Sana Raees Khan reportedly joined Bigg Boss 17 after former Miss India Manasvi Mamgai backed out.
Sana is best known for fighting the alleged drug case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.
She represented Aryan Khan’s friend Avin Sahu who was the first accused to get bail.
Besides this, Sana was also Indrani Mukerjea’s lawyer in the controversial Sheena Bora murder case.
Anurag Dobhal
Influencer Anurag Dobhal goes by the name The UK07 Rider online.
He joined the online space in 2018 and earlier in 2023, Anurag surpassed two million subscribers on YouTube.
Fans dubbed him India’s most popular motovlogger.
Anurag is also friends with Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav.
Munawar Faruqui
The winner of Kangana Ranaut-hosted Lock Upp, Munawar Faruqui, has entered the Bigg Boss house.
Speaking about his entry on the reality show, the comedian said:
“There’s a pressure to not let my fans down.
“When you are new, you get exempted from mistakes but if you’ve already done something and won it, you won’t be spared for your mistakes.
“I’m looking forward to how my journey in the show will shape up.”
Ankita Lokhande & Vikky Jain
Ankita Lokhande and her businessman husband Vikky Jain will be showcasing their unfiltered side on the show.
Dubbed as one of the perfect couples of the industry, the two are expected to open up about their relationship and past.
They got married in 2021 and have been battling trolls ever since Ankita parted ways with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and started dating Vikky.
Navid Sole
Navid Sole is the international contestant on Bigg Boss 17.
Referred to as the “sassy” pharmacist, Navid is best known for his appearance on the 16th series of BBC One’s The Apprentice.
Based in London, he is of Italian and Persian origin.
Navid also has 90,000 Instagram followers and as he entered Bigg Boss 17, he struggled to speak Hindi, reminding viewers of Abdu Rozik.
Neil Bhatt & Aishwarya Sharma
Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma plan to add some romance to the house.
Aishwarya, who was the second runner-up of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, was reportedly offered Bigg Boss first.
She was then joined by Neil.
As they entered together, Salman said Neil is devoted to his wife.
The reality show intends to test their love for each other.
Mannara Chopra
Mannara Chopra was the first to enter Bigg Boss 17.
Born Barbie Handa, she is the cousin of Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra.
Mannara made her Hindi debut in the 2014 film Zid.
She hit headlines when director AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary kissed her on the cheeks. Many thought he forcibly did so.
However, Mannara clarified that people misinterpreted the incident and said he kissed her because he considers her his “baby”.
She made a stunning entry as she danced with Salman Khan on Priyanka’s hit song ‘Lal Dupatta’.
Bigg Boss 17 is expected to run for 105 days and during that time, expect to see tense arguments and fun antics between the contestants.
