Was Farida Khalifa Bullied on Big Brother?

Big Brother’s reboot faces backlash as housemates’ treatment of contestant Farida Khalifa sparks ‘bullying’ allegations.

Big Brother Viewers claim Farida Khalifa was Bullied

"Kerry is being bratty and rude to her"

Big Brother enthusiasts are voicing their dismay over how contestant Farida was treated by her housemates, barely a week into the relaunch of the hit show.

Farida, who stirred up controversy by questioning trans housemate Hallie, faced the first eviction alongside fellow cast member Kerry.

But Farida, a 50-year-old makeup artist, was eliminated in the live elimination but was initially favoured by bookmakers to beat her nemesis, Kerry.

Farida’s time in the house was marked by friction with several housemates, particularly Kerry.

During a conversation about Farida’s online makeup tutorial videos, Kerry pretended interest and then expressed surprise at Farida’s ability to build a fan base.

Kerry also disparagingly referred to Farida as an “idiot” during a task.

Housemates even concealed Pot Noodles when they learned Farida wanted one, and she faced backlash when requesting a special tea for the crew’s shopping list.

These actions have led numerous disgruntled viewers to accuse the show’s stars of “bullying.”

One fan raged at Kerry specifically, tweeting:

“Regardless of who you side with, Kerry pulling faces like that behind Farida’s back is straight-up bullying.”

A second agreed:

“I get Farida can be annoying but that is not how you cope with a personality clash.”

“Kerry is being bratty and rude to her. It will be bullying soon. It’s bordering on it already.”

A third person hit out, saying:

“They literally won the shopping task and still won’t let her buy a box of teabags, this is borderline bullying at this point.”

And a fourth blasted:

“Kerry is being so rude. It’s too much.

“You might not like someone, and I find Farida annoying too, but that’s just bullying behaviour. She’s giving medical receptionist.”

Whilst a fifth person pleased:

“They need to stop bullying Farida, I genuinely feel bad for her on Big Brother.”

A sixth person tweeted out:

“I can’t stand Kerry. She’s just nasty. She is very aggressive and she’s bullying Farida.”

However, some people have come to the defence of the housemates’ with one person stating:

“I see some tweets labelling Hallie and Kerry as bullies which I think is really harsh.

“They may not be perfect but in no way shape or form are they bullies.

“Are we forgetting past seasons of Big Brother and what true bullying behaviour is?”

The series has already faced controversy since its launch, with some viewers disheartened by what they perceive as an overly “woke” direction.

GB News’ Nana Akua criticised the show for housemates discussing their preferred pronouns within 24 hours of entering the house. Akua fumed:

“It is nonsense. I’m hoping when they look at this they realise just how ridiculous this is!

“How about just sticking with your name?! The whole thing is just awful.”
