Pakistani actress Mariam Ansari and her husband Owais Khan recently announced the birth of their daughter Amaya Khan in a beautiful Instagram post.
She took to Instagram to share a series of black-and-white photos.
One picture showed Mariam holding a pair of baby shoes while another features Owais cradling her baby bump.
The third image showed the couple holding a scan of their baby.
Announcing the birth of their daughter, Mariam wrote:
“Welcoming our little bundle of joy Amaya Khan. Thank you for making our life complete. 04/07/2023.”
The caption ended with a prayer written in Arabic, which translates to giving thanks to God for His blessings.
The post was met with many messages of congratulations from fellow industry members who expressed their joy at the wonderful news.
Maryam Nafees wrote: “MashAllah! Bohat Bohat Mubarak [Many congratulations].”
Kinza Hashmi also commented: “Congratulations MashAllah!”
Fans of the couple also commented on the post, in which one said:
“MashAllah congratulations to the family.”
Another wrote:
“Heartiest congratulations. So happy for you guys.”
However, there were a few social media users who deemed Mariam’s post distasteful and shameful.
One person said: “There was a time when women were pregnant and not even their siblings would know.
“Shame on you, now you openly flaunt your pregnant bellies.”
Another said: “Pakistan is ahead of all in the acts of shamelessness.”
Her brother Ali Ansari is married to fellow actress Saboor Aly.
Meanwhile, her brother-in-law Azam Khan is a cricketer.
Mariam Ansari has starred in many popular dramas in which she has gained fame and recognition.
Her most popular titles include Aangan, Mujhe Wida Kar, Dil Lagi and Faryaad. She was recently seen in Hook alongside Faisal Qureshi and Kinza Hashmi.
Mariam has proved herself to be a versatile actress, known to do justice to all her roles, no matter how different they are from one another.
She is best known for her colourful personality and antics.
Mariam has been married to Owais Khan since February 2021.
She revealed that she met Owais in college where Owais was a senior and she herself was a freshman.
They got married in an intimate ceremony in line with the Covid rules and regulations, with most of their friends attending the wedding via a video link.
