“I’m convinced that mothers are superheroes"
Pakistani singer Falak Shabir and actress Sarah Khan welcomed a new addition to their family on October 8, 2021.
Falak, who regularly shares glimpses of the family on Instagram, penned a heartfelt note for his wife.
He posted multiple photos and videos of the couple in the hospital.
The carousel starts with a video of Sarah holding their daughter Alyana followed by two photos, one of the couple and baby and another of Falak sleeping next to her.
In the caption, Falak wrote about the Laapata star’s strength.

Falak wrote: “When it comes to true strength and the ability to endure pain, women blow us away.
“The morning sickness, the heartburn, the sleeplessness, backaches, mood swings and what not!
“Then there’s also the mental stress of worrying that the baby they’re carrying is healthy, juggling work with pregnancy exhaustion, trying to plan out the nursery down to the last perfectly matched detail and coming up with a baby name that’s unique enough to stand out!
“Then, at the time of giving birth the pain mother feels is similar to 20 bones getting fractured at a time.
“Can you imagine the mother’s pain and love?”
Falak added: “I’m convinced that mothers are superheroes because they can handle anything the universe has to throw at them!
“Sarah, you’re not just a mother of my child but also the beat of my heart.
“I promise to love you and protect you and our daughter till the day I die.”
Both Falak and Sarah received hundreds of congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities and netizens alike.
Hira Mani, Nida Yasir and Sabeeka Iman posted heartfelt messages on Instagram expressing their joy upon hearing the happy news.
Actress Sabeeka reposted Falak’s birth announcement with a simple congratulations on her Instagram story.
Actress Hira posted a message expressed her joy at hearing the news.
Hira said: “I am so happy.
“Congratulations on having a daughter Sarah and Falak, lots of love from me and Mani.
“Guys, may God protect both you, no all three of you, from all evil.”
Cricketer Sidra Nawaz Bhatti also sent her congratulations.
As did TV show host Nida Yasir.
She wrote: “Many, many congratulations on the arrival of your daughter, lovely Sara and loving Falak.”
Sarah Khan and Falak Shabir tied the knot in July 2020 and announced they are expecting their first baby in June 2021.
The couple kept their Instagram followers updated throughout the pregnancy with several photos and videos.
