A man from Andhra Pradesh committed suicide as his Indian wife had been using sex toys to sexually abuse girls.
The 47-year-old took his own life by jumping off the third storey of his apartment block.
It was heard that the woman would dress up like a man when carrying out the sex abuse.
A raid on the couple’s property took place on November 9, 2019. Inside the house, officers discovered a large bag containing numerous sex toys.
When police questioned the couple, the man ran to the terrace and jumped off, suffering serious injuries.
The man was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries later that evening.
Police identified the deceased as the 32-year-old woman’s third husband.
The shocking case came to light after a 17-year-old girl filed a police complaint. She told officers that she had been sexually abused by a man named Krishna Kishore Reddy.
A case was registered but during the investigation, officers discovered that Reddy was actually a woman.
DSP Ravi Chandra explained that the woman liked to wear men’s clothes and kept her hair short so that she looked like a man.
It was heard that she left her village in 2016 and moved to the city of Ongole where she ended up marrying for the third time.
DSP Chandra stated that the woman would pose as Reddy and would befriend minor girls.
She would then lure or force them into starting an intimate relationship with her.
Officers have said that the accused had planned to move the teenager into her house to live with her and her husband.
As well as using sex toys to sexually assault the girl, the Indian wife had even managed to convince her 28-year-old male friend and the girl to stage a fake marriage.
The girl’s parents found out about the marriage, thinking it was real.
This prompted the suspect to approach the police where she requested police protection from the teenager’s parents.
However, officers sent the girl back to her parents as she was still a minor.
Upon returning home, the girl told her parents that she had been sexually abused by the woman, who subsequently informed the police.
Due to the psychological effect that the ordeal has had on the girl, officers have said that she still believes that Krishna and the woman are two different people.
The woman’s husband knew about his wife’s crimes but the raid and the discovery of the sex toys led to him committing suicide.
The Times of India reported that the woman was arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
