"You'll run over a woman?"
In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a video went viral of a young woman beating a cab driver and another man in the middle of a busy road.
The incident reportedly took place on the evening of July 30, 2021.
It was reported that the cab driver was driving rashly and almost ran over the woman, who was crossing the road.
He then stopped his vehicle. Meanwhile, the angry woman confronted him and allegedly pulled him out of his cab.
She also breaks the car’s wing mirrors.
In the video, the woman is seen violently slapping the cab driver several times as onlookers watched.
Can a woman abuse, threaten, assault & if this wasn’t captured on video, she could have said that the man molested her & this was her self defence. Is @Uppolice sleeping or accepting this as new India?

She is heard saying: “You’ll run over a woman?”
The young woman claimed she suffered minor injuries after she crossed the road and was slightly hit by the vehicle.
She said that she would have been badly hurt if she did not act “swiftly”.
However, CCTV footage prior to the incident showed the woman taking risks to cross the busy Lucknow road, wading in and out of passing traffic.
The cab driver is seen abruptly stopping his vehicle, preventing an accident from happening.
A member of the public intervened to help the cab driver, however, the woman then turns her attention to him.
The pair then argue, with the woman getting aggressive and the man telling her not to touch him.
The cab driver, named Saadat Ali Siddiqui, is heard denying the allegations and stating that the woman broke his phone.
He said: “Who will pay for that? It is my employer’s phone. I’m a poor man… it cost Rs. 25,000 (£240).
“She grabbed my phone from the car and smashed it into pieces. She also broke the car’s side mirrors.”
In another video, the woman is seen grabbing the passerby by the shirt and shouting at him.
The woman then strikes him across the face.

Initially, police issued a warning against Saadat and two of his relatives, who were inside the car at the time of the incident.
Saadat added: “We both were taken to the police station where an FIR (First Information Report) was registered against me but nothing was done against her. I want justice.”
The Lucknow incident went viral and many social media users sided with the cab driver, stating that he was not at fault.
They also demanded the woman be arrested for her actions.
This led to the hashtags #ArrestLucknowGirl and #JusticeForCabDriver trending on Twitter.
An FIR was soon registered against the young woman at Krishna Nagar Police Station.
She was booked under sections 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) and 427 (mischief causing damage) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Chiranjeev Nath Sinha said:
“The complaint is being looked into and suitable action will be taken.”
