"I say this to you - stay out of it."
The singer and spiritual healer Kenishaa Francis recently became the subject of home wrecking allegations.
This came after actor Jayam Ravi announced his split from his wife, Aarti Ravi.
As speculation mounted regarding the reasons behind their separation, many linked Kenishaa’s name to the situation.
The allegations prompted the singer to clarify the facts. She opened up about the whole fiasco in an interview with DT Next.
Kenishaa Francis explained that she first met Jayam during the launch of her song ‘Idhai Yaar Solvaaro’.
After that event, their interactions were limited until Ravi reached out to her in June 2024.
She stated: “He came to me only after he sent a notice for divorce by mutual consent through his lawyer.
“He approached me because he didn’t want anyone in Chennai to know about this.
“But, as a therapist, I can tell you that the pain Jayam Ravi’s family has put him through is bigger than the pain of losing his parents.
“As a therapist, it was beyond painful for me to hear about his struggles with Aarti and her parents.
“No one deserves so much abuse, irrespective of the gender, and I can release all the evidence, with or without Ravi’s permission in the court of law, from my notes of our therapy sessions.”
To address the ongoing speculation, Kenishaa posted a message on Instagram.
She wrote: “A humble request and an appeal I make to all of who have taken the liberty to make other people’s issue your own.
“Firstly, and humbly I say this to you – stay out of it.
“Because it’s not your home’s issue but someone else’s home, and you’re not allowed an opinion in this matter.”
“Secondly, leave me out of it, I have work to do and I don’t advocate for uncanny banter.
“Lastly, be kind to everyone. It’s the only necessity in the world right now.”
However, the public did not heed her words and hurled more accusations at the singer.
A user wrote: “Instead of asking us to stay out of someone else’s home, you stay out of Jayam Ravi’s home.
“You are clearly trying to gain popularity over this issue. He’s going to regret trusting you very soon.”
Previously, in response to the rumours, Jayam Ravi also spoke to the press, asking the public not to tarnish Kenishaa’s name.
He said: “I would like to say only one thing. Live and let live. Don’t drag anyone into my personal matters.
“Let personal life be personal life.”
