Pakistani actress Nazish Jahangir has publicly addressed the fraud allegations made by Azan Aswad Haroon for the first time.

Azan, a lesser-known figure in the entertainment industry, accused Nazish of taking her money, cars, and expensive gifts under false pretences.

She also claimed Nazish tried to murder her.

While the actress initially remained silent, she pursued legal action to counter the claims.

Recently, Nazish Jahangir broke her silence during an appearance on Shaan-e-Suhoor, where she addressed the accusations for the first time.

She dismissed the case as a “flop blackmail show”, claiming it was a deliberate attempt to tarnish her reputation.

According to her, people with ulterior motives often target well-known individuals for financial gain.

Nazish further stated that she chose not to engage in public discussion about the allegations, as she rarely shares personal matters online.

She revealed: “My father advised me to remain silent. We were already fighting this battle in court.

“Responding publicly would have only prolonged the issue.”

She emphasised that the allegations were part of a larger scheme and had no merit.

In September 2024, Nazish filed for bail, arguing that the case against her was baseless and solely intended to damage her reputation.

However, the court dismissed the petition due to her absence from the proceedings.

Initially, Azan alleged that Jahangir had borrowed Rs 2.5 million and a car for two months but never returned either.

In October 2024, she expanded on the claims, stating that she had not only taken money but also manipulated her.

Azan further accused her of demanding Rs 15 lakh in addition to luxury gifts and a Honda car worth Rs 55 lakh.

In addition to this, Nazish allegedly demanded tickets to destinations like Dubai, London, Lahore, and Karachi.

Azan claimed that after realising she had been deceived, she confronted Nazish and asked for her money back.

However, she alleged that Nazish then had him taken hostage at a farmhouse, where she was tortured by armed men.

She stated that his managers and driver ultimately rescued her, after which she filed a fraud complaint at the Defence C police station.

The case has sparked debate on social media, with some questioning Azan’s credibility while others express concern over the allegations.

Supporters of Nazish believe she is being targeted unfairly, while others argue that the legal system should determine the truth.

Nazish Jahangir, known for her roles in Kahin Deep Jaley, Berukhi, and Thays, has built a strong reputation in Pakistani television.

However, this controversy has shifted attention away from her acting career and onto the legal battle that now surrounds her.
