Katrina Kaif is all set to wow as she reprises her role of Zoya Humaini Rathore in the hotly anticipated Tiger 3.
The film reunites her with Salman Khan who will return as the iconic Avinash Singh ‘Tiger’ Rathore.
The new instalment of the YRF Spy Universe attracted unparalleled attention, with particular praise directed towards Katrina’s action scenes.
A specific scene in the film’s trailer showed Katrina fighting with co-star Michelle Lee while both were wearing towels.
Katrina Kaif opened up about her demanding yet original action performances in Tiger 3.
She revealed: “For Tiger 3, my action prep was at least for about two months.
“We wanted Zoya to look agile, have more speed, and greater strength.
“I really had to go through the grind and it was definitely the toughest training of my career so far.
“When you see the kind of action that Zoya has done, you will realise that such sequences may not have been attempted by a woman before.
“Executed by some of the best action teams in the world, I’m super excited for audiences to see these sequences on the big screen.”
Katrina added that Tiger 3 shows that there is nothing a woman cannot do on the screen.
Katrina’s co-star Michelle Lee also divulged into the towel fighting scene, which has set pulses racing.
She said: “I thought it was pretty epic when we were shooting it. We learned and practiced the fight for a couple weeks and then shot it.
“The set design was absolutely gorgeous and the fight was really fun to do. It was wonderful being on an international film.
Praising Katrina Kaif, Michelle added:
“Katrina was as graceful and professional as can be.
“She worked really hard on getting the movements precise and making sure all the movements flow.
“It was clear she had experience in choreography so it was super easy to work with her. We worked up a sweat.”
Michelle also admitted the challenge of only wearing towels for the scene:
“One of the main challenges was definitely the wardrobe.
“Our towels needed to stay in the proper place and with so much movement and fight choreography, it was definitely a challenge.
“We ended up having the towels sewn closed at certain points and that helped a lot.”
Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 is set to release on November 12, 2023. The film will also star Emraan Hashmi.
The film will follow the events of Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019) and Pathaan (2023).
Along with Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi and Katrina Kaif, the film will also feature Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo appearance. He will reprise his role from Pathaan.
