"Katrina knows exactly how it is going to end for Alia."
With all the attention currently on Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s relationship, rumours suggest that actress and ex-girlfriend of Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, isn’t very optimistic about the Alia-Ranbir relationship.
Despite Katrina breaking up with the actor quite a while back, and Alia becoming involved with Ranbir earlier in the year, previous reports alleged that the close friendship between the two actresses was still in tact.
However, a friend of Katrina’s revealed to India Today that Kaif seems to know how it will end for the couple. The friend insinuated that Kaif believes that Ranbir-Alia will end in the same way that her relationship ended with Kapoor.
The friend said:
“Katrina knows exactly how it is going to end for Alia. She has been there, seen it all. But it’s not Katrina’s nature to poke her nose in other’s affairs.
“Besides anything that she would say in the way of a warning would sound like sour grapes to the outside world. So she’s just keeping quiet.”
Before Alia began dating the 35-year-old actor, Katrina and Alia had a strong friendship. Speaking about their friendship Alia has previously said:
“I’ve known Katrina for a couple of years now. We’ve got to know each other organically. It all happened when Kat and I started spending time in the gym.
“Today, she’s someone who I can say is my friend. I know I can count on her when I’m in trouble and she can count on me, for sure. She’s got my back and I’ve got hers.”
A source also revealed that Katrina took the 25-year-old actress under her wing. The source said:
“Katrina who is not known to share buddy vibes with any other actress had warmed up to Alia, giving the younger girl lots of fitness and food advice.
“That apart they also shared a lot of girl-time together. This was all before Alia began to grow close to Ranbir Kapoor.”
After these recent revelations, perhaps the friendship between Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif isn’t as strong as previously thought.
Many have speculated that as Alia and Ranbir grew close on the sets of their film, Brahmastra, Katrina is upset that Alia didn’t tell her beforehand.
A source told Pinkvilla:
“The entire cast and crew have been talking about RK and Alia’s closeness while filming Brahmastra.
“Katrina got to know about it from some common friends who were working on the film. She is upset and would have appreciated had Alia told her about her closeness with Kapoor.”
As things between the Sanju actor and Alia become more serious, has Katrina become colder towards the pair? With the couple stepping out together at glamorous events, it could be that Kaif may be feeling a bit left out.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were most recently spotted attending the pre-engagement party of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, dressed to impress.
Later on, they were spotted arriving at a special preview screening of Ranbir’s highly-anticipated film, Sanju together.
Ranbir has previously spoken about his relationship with Alia during various interviews.
While the actor is careful with his words, he has made it clear that he holds great admiration for his love interest and doesn’t want to do anything that may tarnish their relationship.
Interestingly, many fans have come out in support of the new couple, with Alia’s fans even coining a new nickname for the pair, ‘Ralia’.
When asked about this by NDTV, Ranbir responded:
“No, I am not aware of this. But, I hope they use it during Brahmastra release.”
Despite all of the speculated drama surrounding the three actors, they are all very busy with acting work.
Following the success of her blockbuster film Raazi, and Ranbir’s newly released Sanju, the pair have since finished the filming of their upcoming movie Brahmastra due to be released in 2019.
While Katrina Kaif will next be seen in the November 2018 release of Thugs Of Hindostan.
