"I will be like, ‘mat aao yahaan pe.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan revealed how she would react to her son Taimur Ali Khan bringing home a girlfriend on her radio show, What Women Want on Ishq.
The roles reversed on the radio show when Kareena’s latest guest, actress Taapsee Pannu asked Kareena to answer the question she initially asked her.
In a fun-filled segment on the show, Kareena presented scenarios to Taapsee to which she would have to reply whether it was ‘safe’ or ‘unsafe’.
Kareena Kapoor asked Taapsee how she would react to her son bringing his girlfriend home. However, Taapsee replied saying, “You can tell me that. How would you feel?”
She further added that she was still “far away” from that scenario. She said:
“When I will get married, when I will have a son, when he will have a girlfriend, I think you are still closer to that time so you can help me know.”
Initially, Kareena Kapoor tried to avoid answering the question. The mother of three-year-old Taimur eventually answered saying:
“Nahi yaar, I don’t know. But I am that type. I’m a Punjabi mother.”
Taapsee then asked whether she would welcome her son’s girlfriend with parathas. Kareena replied saying:
“Nahi, bohot unsafe hai! I will be like, ‘mat aao yahaan pe.” (No, it’s very unsafe! I will be like, ‘don’t come here’).
Recently in an interaction with PTI, the doting mother disclosed that she absolutely adores her son.
She said: “Taimur loves his time with his mother. I spoil him with the warmth and cuddles.”
Meanwhile, according to the Hindustan Times, Saif Ali Khan revealed that Taimur is somewhat spoiled by Kareena Kapoor.
Saif was asked what whether he was a strict or calm parent. He explained:
“I think it is good to be a little strict, I have given up.”
“This time around, (Taimur is) like my third child and my wife’s first. So, she kind of spoils him slightly and I know this is not gonna (going to) end properly.
“I know where this is going and now he is (a) bully (to) everyone at home. I don’t want to go to school, so all that’s happening.”
Saif was also asked whether Taimur emotionally blackmails him to which he replied:
“He is very sweet, (he says) ‘I love you and my family.’ Then recently someone said ‘no’ to him for the first time and he said, ‘I don’t like you, I will kick you, I will headbang you.’”
Kareena’s relatable reaction was a treat for listeners while Saif’s revelation was certainly hilarious. It seems Taimur’s future girlfriend better be warned before entering the house.
