"We extend our sincere gratitude to every fan."

The highly anticipated Kanye West’s India debut concert has been officially cancelled following recent directives from local government authorities.

Fans across the region are facing immense disappointment as it will no longer take place this month.

The controversial music star was originally scheduled to perform his massive live set in New Delhi on May 23, 2026.

However, event organisers, White Fox, confirmed the sudden disruption through a formal statement posted on their social media page.

Law enforcement bodies issued strict safety instructions, which forced the team to halt the entire massive production immediately.

A spokesperson from the promoting company expressed his deep sadness regarding this unfortunate situation for the local fans.

They said: “We are deeply disheartened to announce that Ye Live in India, scheduled for 23rd May 2026 in New Delhi, will not be able to proceed due to directives issued by officials.

“After months of planning and preparation for what was set to be one of the largest live productions ever staged in India, the safety and well-being of attendees and the citizens of India remain our highest priority during this sensitive time.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to every fan, partner, crew member, and supporter who stood with us throughout this journey.”

The management team clarified that public welfare must always remain the single highest priority.

Ticket holders who purchased through the official platform District will receive their money back within a few days.

The promoters promised that automatic full financial transactions would be processed within five to seven business days.

A corporate representative gave further details about the ongoing efforts to settle accounts with all the affected customers.

They said: “Full refunds will be issued to all valid ticket holders who purchased through the official ticketing partner, District, within 5-7 business days.

“We are currently working with the artist’s team to secure a new date and venue.”

This dramatic cancellation marks the second major scheduling setback for the musician’s debut appearance on the subcontinent this year.

The stadium event was previously scheduled for March 29, 2026, before wider regional anxieties disrupted the initial touring plans entirely.

Serious geopolitical tensions linked directly to the complex United States and Iran situation caused the first significant delay.

Promoters subsequently relocated the highly anticipated performance to the prominent Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium located within the capital city.

This latest Asian roadblock mirrors a wider pattern of international touring disruptions for the hip-hop artist.

The global star has encountered multiple venue cancellations across the world due to logistics and heavy public backlash.

British authorities reportedly blocked the rapper from headlining the famous Wireless Festival in London in April 2026.

European promoters in nations like Poland and Switzerland have also cancelled scheduled shows following immense criticism from audiences.

Much of the global resistance stems from highly controversial statements made by Kanye West.
