Young Stunners cited "unforeseen circumstances"
The highly anticipated India debut of the popular Pakistani rap duo Young Stunners has been cancelled, leaving fans disappointed and shocked.
The Karachi-based duo, consisting of Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus, had been set to perform in major cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, and New Delhi.
The tour was scheduled for December 2024, but it has been called off due to “organisational and financial disputes”.
Although Young Stunners’ management team has denied any wrongdoing, they have not provided any specifics about the reasons behind the cancellation.
This announcement comes after a series of troubling events, beginning with the cancellation of the duo’s Sydney show earlier in November 2024.
Young Stunners cited “unforeseen circumstances” and “significant mismanagement”.
The duo issued a statement on their Instagram Story, pointing the blame at the event’s organisers, Live Vibe.
They claimed that Live Vibe exhibited “unacceptable behaviour” toward their team, including mistreating the artists.
They took the opportunity to warn other artists to be cautious when working with the organising companies.
Live Vibe Australia, which had been responsible for organising the Sydney show, claimed that Young Stunners pulled out of the performance.
This was reportedly due to decisions made by their management.
The company further stated that, despite the cancellation, the artists did not return the booking fee.
Adding to the controversy, Live Vibe Australia posted on Instagram revealing that deposits for the India tour were also unreturned.
In their post, the company urged others in the music industry to be cautious.
They advised against paying deposits or entering into contracts with Young Stunners until the situation was resolved.
The Australian promoters said they had made several attempts to communicate with Young Stunners’ management, via calls, texts, and emails.
However, they claimed they were met with no response.
The cancellation of the India tour followed shortly after, a blow to the duo’s fans.
Prior to the cancellation, there were already signs of potential trouble.
Back in August 2024, Young Stunners’ business manager Alina Naghman addressed the delays surrounding the India tour.
She said that the announcement had been postponed until their visas were approved.
At the time, she reassured fans that both teams were working “tirelessly” to make the tour a reality.
However, with the sudden cancellation, it seems those hopes have been dashed.
