"Please reply fast or face the consequences.”

Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel has condemned Forbes India for ranking her sister 70th on the Forbes Indian Celebrity 100 List and sent a legal notice.

The Forbes annual Celebrity 100 List was released in early December 2019.

It is based on the estimated earnings of celebrities through their professions, endorsements and assessed fame.

Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli topped the list. Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone ranked under the top ten.

Rangoli Chandel was left infuriated when Kangana Ranaut was ranked at the 70th  position on the list.

This led Rangoli to publically slam the publication on Twitter. She claimed Kangana paid more tax than what was mentioned in the poll. An angry Rangoli Chandel took to Twitter saying:

“Yeh @forbes_india ek number ka fraud hai, I openly challenge them to prove even one celebrity income they have printed in their magazine, sab PR hai.

“Kangana pays more tax than her entire income mentioned in the poll … show us who paid how much tax.

“You can’t just assume people’s income on what basis. Please reply.”

After expressing her disappointment, Rangoli Chandel once again took to Twitter to share that she has sent a legal notice to Forbes India. She said:

“Dear @forbes_india our legal team has sent this notice to you, we haven’t received a reply yet.”

“Please tell us what are your sources and how come you claim to know Kangana’s income and financial worth, please reply fast or face the consequences.”

As a result of this public humiliation, Kangana was asked about the matter during the trailer launch of the upcoming film Panga (2020).

The film follows the story of a cheerful and jovial kabaddi player. Panga also stars Jassi Gill, Richa Chadda, Neena Gupta and Yogya Bhasin in pivotal roles.

On the matter concerning the Forbes Indian Celebrity 100 List, Kangana said:

“I think by taking someone’s name and talk or comment about their personal life whether it is income or anything without any reliable sources is not good.”

Despite this, Forbes India has maintained silence and has not replied to either of Rangoli’s tweets or the legal notice.

We wait to find out whether Forbes India will take into consideration Rangoli’s outbreak and whether they will respond to the legal notice.
