"I’m having a baby in June."
Vaishnavi Patel recently took to Instagram to announce some very exciting news.
The civil rights attorney and bestselling author revealed that she is expecting her first child.
Posting a picture of herself while flaunting her baby bump in a green saree, Vaishnavi wrote:
“Today I had my Dohale Jevan, a Marathi tradition celebrating the seventh month of pregnancy.
“Coincidentally, it fell on the final day of Forty Days for Life, so it felt like the right time to share—I’m having a baby in June.
“Even though it was wanted, pregnancy has been the most physically difficult experience of my life, and I’ve had sepsis before!
“I was so sick I would throw up if I turned my head, or walked too quickly.
“If I went to work, I was bedridden after.
“I thought I would lose my baby or my livelihood.
“I can’t imagine what it would be like to be FORCED to suffer through that, to lose control of your life and health for an UNwanted pregnancy.
“And yet that is the reality many people now face in America.
“And yes, WE DANCE UPON DEMONS will release when I’m over eight months pregnant.
“It’s gonna be a little wacky and wild! But I hope you’ll bear with me and support this book and cause.
“Pro-choice IS pro-life. Let’s not forget it.”
