Jewellery Brand Owner Niki Mahon announces Pregnancy

Niki Mahon, owner of the jewellery and home decor brand, NIKITA, took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy.

"I cannot bloody wait to be a mum."

Niki Mahon has had an incredible journey, going from a tech job to starting a business from her bedroom.

The entrepreneur is the proud owner of the jewellery and home decor brand, NIKITA.

She started the business from her bedroom, and it has become a stupendous success, turning over £500,000 a year.

Niki recently took to Instagram to announce a very exciting development in her personal life.

She announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband.

Along with some gorgeous pictures of the ultrasound scan, Niki Mahon also shared some words of advice.

She also explained her journey towards motherhood.

In a lengthy statement, the businesswoman said:

“14 weeks in and I’ve definitely felt every emotion, but mostly calm and self-assurance. I didn’t let anyone rush me.

“We made sure this was the right decision for us as a couple, but the trust is that the decision consumed me for over three years.

“Our life together finally felt settled, and I loved every aspect of it, and I was scared of it turning on its head.

“I’ve spent years listening to every mum’s story, absorbing their advice, and figuring out if and how I want to enter motherhood.

“Ultimately, having the deep conversations about what kind of parents we want to be and why we would do this is what clarified things for us.

“After trying for the best part of a year and experiencing the monthly heartbreaks that came with it, we became even more sure.

“For a long time, I wondered why I didn’t feel ‘broody’ or get that sudden maternal urge everyone talks about.

“But I realised it wasn’t a lack of desire, it was a need to feel whole first.

“I wanted to heal any inner conflict before stepping into this stage, so I could meet it with peace, not pressure.

“I’ve always had a positive relationship with my body, and instead of fearing the changes, I’m fascinated by what it’s doing without me even thinking about it.

“I’m no longer freaking out about losing myself, I’m excited to see who I become.

“I’ve been focused on letting go of my toxic work ethic and reconnecting with my femininity, and growing a baby feels like the ultimate expression of that.

“I’ve learnt how to let go of my ego, cut out any drama, ask for help, and allow the right people in.

“I needed the unhinged girls trip, the long-distance adventure as a couple, a home that finally felt finished and the business that could run without me so I could step away guilt-free.

“We both needed our ducks in a row first, and that is okay.

“I’m glad I gave myself the space to feel ready physically, emotionally, mentally, financially and spiritually.

“To those who say, ‘you’ll never be ready’ – I challenge this.

“Because I didn’t let loved ones, strangers, or society rush me, I haven’t felt fear or anxiety – just calm and surrender.

“And now I can wholeheartedly say, I cannot bloody wait to be a mum and to see my incredible husband as a dad.”

Jewellery Brand Owner Niki Mahon announces Pregnancy - 1Niki Mahon began her business by selling unwanted clothes and jewellery online and soon created her first website, Nikita By Niki.

In an interview, she continued: “I felt I wanted to prove certain people in my life wrong. However, I did so gradually.

“I worked to a point where I had enough savings to start the brand, and when the sales were consistent, I dropped my hours to part-time first at my old job before leaving completely a year later.

“In the first year, I made between £15k and £20k.

“Now, the business is turning over half a million pounds a year, and I’m proud to say that it is organic growth without any outside investment.

“I worked hard to make the business the success it is now.

“I don’t believe there is any such thing as overnight success.”

“This took me nearly seven years of steady growth.”

Niki’s pregnancy attracted delighted comments from users.

One of them said: “Well said. You’ll be a fabulous mumma.”

Another added: “Love the words you penned. Congratulations and good luck for a safe and healthy baby and pregnancy!”

A third fan said: “This is so beautifully put. Congratulations to you both.”
