Ananya Panday recently stole the spotlight with a stunning lehenga choli at her friend Deeya Shroff’s mehendi, leaving fans mesmerised on social media.
The Kho Gaye Hum Kahan star shared photos showcasing a black lehenga adorned with intricate motif designs that perfectly complemented her high-neck mustard yellow blouse.
Panday accessorised the ensemble with elegant golden and green jewellery, a sleek braid, and a dewy makeup look that enhanced her radiant appearance during the celebration.
Deeya Shroff, who got engaged to Mihir Advani in November last year, celebrated her mehendi surrounded by close friends, with Panday among her most stylish guests.
During Shroff’s engagement, Panday had honoured the late Rohit Bal by wearing an aqua-blue suit while paying tribute to the designer’s legacy with her outfit.
On November 7, 2024, Panday posted about the engagement, expressing excitement over gaining a brother while celebrating her friend, captioning the post with heartfelt and playful remarks.
Acknowledging her previous three releases as urban-set, social media-centred projects, Panday returned to commercial cinema in 2025 with Dharma Production’s Kesari Chapter 2.
Set against the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre, she played a fictional lawyer assisting Akshay Kumar’s C. Sankaran Nair in his legal battle against the British Raj.
To prepare for the role, Panday took Punjabi dialect classes for over a year and shadowed female lawyers in practice, immersing herself in historical and legal accuracy.
A critic for Filmfare praised her performance, saying Panday “surprises with her restraint and grace” in an against-type role, and the film achieved moderate commercial success.
Looking ahead, Ananya Panday will star in Chand Mera Dil alongside Lakshya and reunite with Kartik Aaryan in Tu Meri Main Tera, both romantic dramas produced by Dharma Productions.
Producer Karan Johar described Tu Meri Main Tera as vibrant and emotional, praising their on-screen chemistry and expressing excitement for audiences to witness the film’s heartfelt story.
