"I can’t stay silent when it’s important to take a stand."
Avneet Kaur is facing allegations that she breached her contract with an Indian jewellery brand.
The brand in question is Rang, who has said Avneet did not fulfil her commitment concerning a social media collaboration deal.
On social media, Rang shared screenshots of the interactions with Avneet.
It is alleged that the actress received items of jewellery to wear during her European trip, which included visits to London and Greece.
But despite her repeated promises, Avneet failed to tag Rang in any post where she had worn their jewellery, disregarding a “verbal commitment”.
Avneet wore Rang jewellery alongside outfits from Dior and Vivienne Westwood.
She only tagged the luxury fashion brands, giving the impression the jewellery was from these brands.
When her stylist reminded her to tag Rang, Avneet told them:
“Hey, I will pay them. How much is it?”
Screenshots of messages reveal Avneet offering to pay for the jewellery pieces instead of fulfilling the agreed-upon deal.
After Avneet returned from her trip, Rang sent her an invoice for the nine items and requested payment, believing it to be a fair resolution.
However, the post alleged that Avneet refused to pay because it was a collaboration and said she had not worn the jewellery more than 10 times.
She also insisted that she would only post an Instagram Story.
The jewellery brand sent a subsequent email to Avneet Kaur regarding the invoice but is yet to receive a response.
The caption read: “It took me a few days to decide whether to share this incident on social media, but I realised I can’t stay silent when it’s important to take a stand.”
Rang added that they “care deeply about our customers, the stylists we work with, and the celebrities who wear our jewellery”.
Part of the caption read: “This isn’t about naming and shaming anyone, but about speaking the truth.”
The allegations have led to a wave of criticism towards Avneet Kaur.
Many called her out for her alleged “shady behaviour”.
Another commented: “Avneet is extremely shady. Rose to fame for literally nothing. Hope that you get the credit you deserve.”

Akanksha Negi, Founder of Rang, said: “This was a horrible experience with an influencer.
“I wanted to speak about this because the exploitation of small business brands and stylists by some celebrities and influencers is infuriating.
“Just because they have a large following on social media does not give them the right to exploit us.
“We might be a small business brand, but we won’t accept this attitude and behaviour.”
Mittal Brahmbhatt, owner of the clothing brand The Closet, said she also experienced a similar incident with Avneet Kaur.
She told India Today: “I reached out to Akanksha because I had a similar issue with Avneet Kaur.
“Avneet sourced clothes from my brand, The Closet, with a verbal agreement to post photos wearing the outfits and credit our brand.
“Despite receiving the package, she did not upload anything for months.
“I repeatedly messaged her mother for updates but received no response.
“After nearly six months, she finally made a post, but by then, the collection had gone out of stock, and we had no plans to restock it, rendering the post useless for our brand.”
