Child star Umer Shah, younger brother of viral sensation Ahmed Shah, passed away on September 15, 2025, leaving the entertainment industry grief-stricken.
His death was confirmed by Ahmed Shah on Instagram, where he called Umer the “little shining star” of their family.
Ahmed requested fans to pray for his younger brother and their family as they navigated this heartbreaking tragedy together.
Umer rose to fame alongside Ahmed, frequently appearing on Jeeto Pakistan and Shan e Ramazan, becoming an audience favourite instantly.
Viewers adored the sibling duo, who often appeared in costumes, spreading joy through their playful banter and innocent presence onscreen.
According to Waseem Badami, doctors revealed that Umer died after a sudden cardiac arrest triggered by asphyxiation from aspirated vomit.
He explained that the blockage in Umer’s respiratory system led to his lungs failing, resulting in immediate and fatal complications.
Badami, visibly shaken, said he had spoken with Umer’s parents and the attending doctors before sharing details publicly.
Fahad Mustafa, who regularly hosted Umer and Ahmed on Jeeto Pakistan, said he was “speechless” over the tragic loss.
Adnan Siddiqui called the child star a “beam of light, joy and innocence”, expressing his devastation at the young death.
Aijaz Aslam described Umer as a “little angel”, adding that he always brought smiles to everyone associated with Jeeto Pakistan.
Shaista Lodhi said she was shocked upon hearing the news, while Hina Altaf expressed her sorrow at the heartbreaking development.

This tragedy marks the second loss for the family, following the death of their youngest sister, Ayesha, in November 2023.
