Janhvi Kapoor has penned a note for her father Boney Kapoor after they have wrapped up filming for their first movie together.

The young Bollywood actress and her veteran film producer father had been working on the upcoming survival thriller, Milli.

While there does not appear to be a release date yet, it is believed to be a Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie Helen (2019).

Written and directed by Mathukutty Xavier, who worked on the original, Milli also stars Vikram Kochhar and Raghav Binani.

Janhvi Kapoor shared the news that filming had concluded on Instagram by posting a carousel of images.

She added a lengthy note in the caption dedicated to her father which began:

“It’s a wrap! #Milli.

“My first film with papa, of whom I’ve only heard stories of all my life as a producer.

“I finally know what everyone means when they say you give your heart and soul to each film you take up.”

The 24-year-old ends by saying: “I hope we make you proud papa. Thank you for this journey.”

Boney Kapoor has worked on various projects throughout the late eighties, nineties and noughties.

Some of his most notable works include Mr India (1987) No Entry (2005).

She has since appeared in a number of other movies but is probably best known for Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020).

The film, a biopic based on one of the first Indian female air-force pilots in combat, received mixed reviews.

However, Kapoor’s performance in the titular role received widespread praise.

Most recently, the actress was seen in comedy-horror Roohi (2021) alongside Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma.

Boney Kapoor was first married to the late Mona Kapoor and they had two children together, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor.

He later married the late Sridevi and the couple also had two children together, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.

Janhvi Kapoor has previously spoken out about nepotism in the Bollywood industry and has previously said:

“I have been overtly aware of my privilege since I was a kid.”

“It’s not as if nepotism began to exist for me when I entered the film industry.”
