“I am okay, sir”
John Abraham was consoled by Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 host Amitabh Bachchan after he broke down in the latest episode.
John Abraham was joined in the hot seat by filmmaker Nikkhil Advani and Divya Khosla Kumar.
John and Divya made an appearance on the show to promote their new action-thriller film Satyameva Jayate 2.
Also present in the audience was the director of the film, Milap Zaveri, and producer Madhu Bhojwani.
On the show, John became emotional when Amitabh asked him about the cause he was trying to win some prize money for.
The actor confessed his love for animals and hatred for those who subject them to cruelty.
John revealed he was supporting animal welfare trusts and an animal shelter.
Amitabh Bachchan then showed the audience a video from the shelter John was trying to win money for.
In the video, many cats, dogs and cows were seen in poor conditions.
Upon watching the video, John could not help but tear up.
As the video ended, the audience and the guests sat in stunned silence.
John was shaking from what he had seen. The host offered the actor water and handed him a box of tissues.
After wiping his tears, John thanked Amitabh and assured him that he was fine.
John said: “I am okay, sir”
Amitabh hoped that the audience would be moved by the scenes from the video.
John also revealed a large scar on his chest during the show. He went on to share the story behind the scar.
He said: “When I was in college, I used to train in Taekwondo.
“In an attempt to make money, I travelled to Thailand and there, I participated in a Muay Thai tournament for kickboxing just to make some money.”
John Abraham then stood up and unbuttoned his shirt to reveal the chest scar.
He said:
“I want to show you, during one of the rounds, a boxer kicked my chest and it ripped apart.”
Amitabh Bachchan winced at seeing the scar in the centre of his chest.
On public demand, John also showed off his abs. Amitabh joked that only the women in the audience were cheering.
John Abraham was most recently seen in Satyameva Jayate 2. The film was released in cinemas on November 25, 2021.
John stars in the action-thriller film alongside Divya Khosla Kumar, Rajeev Pillai, Anup Soni and Sahil Vaid.
