"Sorry sir, bye-bye.”

An Indian man quit his job due to the environment being toxic and it was no ordinary farewell.

Sales associate Aniket summoned musicians to his office and danced to dhol beats in front of his former boss.

The unique departure was shared online by popular content creator Anish Bhagat, who has 521,000 Instagram followers.

Anish said: “I think a lot of you are going to relate to this. Toxic work culture is so prominent these days.

“Lack of respect and entitlement is quite common.”

Anish explained that Aniket quit his job of three years due to a “very toxic” work environment.

In the video, Aniket said his pay raise was “peanuts” and there was no respect from his boss.

Aniket, who is from Pune, explained that he felt stuck in the job because he was “from a middle-class family”.

To make the Indian man’s exit memorable, Anish and Aniket’s friends organised a surprise party outside his office on his last day.

Musicians brought dhols and waited outside the office building.

The group waited for Aniket’s manager to come out.

As soon as he did, Aniket shook his hand and said:

“Sorry sir, bye-bye.”

The music then played and Aniket danced as he officially resigned.

Meanwhile, his now-former boss – whose face was censored – was visibly annoyed and tried to stop the filming.

He was heard shouting: “Get out.”

Anish revealed that the manager “got super p****d” and “started pushing people”, adding:

“Now I know why (Aniket) quit.”

Aniket said he enjoyed the moment “a lot”.

The group later visited a temple and in the evening, the content creator and Aniket’s friends threw him a party, presenting him with a cake and posters that read:

“Self-reliant India.”
