An Indian woman beat a man on a bus for attempting to grope her.
The incident is believed to have taken place in Mandya, Karnataka and it was filmed by a passenger.
The young woman boarded a bus at the KR Pete bus stand.
However, she became the target of one man, who tried to inappropriately touch her.
Standing up for herself, the woman warned him not to touch her. But the man continued to sexually harass her.
The woman then responded by slapping the man.
A video captured the woman fighting back. The pair are seen standing in the aisle, with the woman holding the perpetrator by his shirt and repeatedly slapping him.
She shouted at him and continued to hit him. Meanwhile, the man pleads with her to stop.
The woman demands an apology but when he doesn’t, she hits him again.
The Indian woman then reaches down to grab her slipper but it gave the harasser a chance to escape.
He was freeing himself from the woman’s grasp and exiting the rear door. The man is briefly stopped by two men standing outside the bus but he pulls away, running away.
While the woman managed to inflict some of her own justice on the man, a police case has not been registered.
This is mainly due to her fellow passengers not helping her and not calling the police.
Throughout the video, passengers are seen sitting in their seats and looking on but not doing anything.
A Twitter user posted the video and narrated the incident.

Another commented: “A good lesson for the culprit.”
Wondering why nobody helped her, one person wrote:
“Can’t understand why the men outside the bus let him run away. Also, there are no conductors or bus station staff around to help the brave woman.”
While no case has been registered against the harasser, the viral video could attract police attention, leading to the man being identified and located.
