"This man is destroying the next generation."

A disturbing video was shared on X showing an Indian man beating his wife.

The man, allegedly from North India, was seen slapping his wife when she spoke during their son’s birthday celebrations.

The user who shared the video wrote: “A husband slaps his wife for speaking while recording their son’s birthday.

“This is disgusting.”

The short clip showed the woman speaking while the Indian man was recording a cake and their son, who appeared to be no older than a toddler.

The man suddenly swiped his arm in front of his wife’s face and snapped at her.

His wife, who was sitting on a bed, dodged the blow.

The woman then opened her mouth again. Visibly irritated, the man slammed his phone down and slapped her again.

This time, the woman wheeled downwards and fell onto the bed while their son watched everything.

After recovering from the attack, the woman raised herself and continued speaking.

As the man stormed off, their toddler was seen hitting the woman, too, as she put a hand on her cheek.

Netizens were appalled as they fired comments underneath the video, calling out the Indian man’s depraved actions.

One user commented: “A child who witnesses a father hitting his wife may learn that violence is an acceptable way to express emotions.

“In this case, the child is also hitting his mother.”

Another person said: “Notice that the kid started beating his mother. This man is destroying the next generation as well.”

A third person added: “That’s just awful! There is no justification for treating someone like that, especially in front of their child.”

A fourth user echoed the effect that the action could have on the son and said:

“There is a reason why upbringing matters. When this kid becomes a man, he will see nothing wrong in raising hand on a woman!

“It’s very normal to him! That’s why even the family of culprits are to be blamed equally!”

Another person recollected: “I was brought up in a family where domestic violence was an order of the day.

“My father used to beat my mom almost on every occasion.

“But we didn’t carry that out when we grew up and were married. Instead, we are more sensitive towards women.”
