Indian stand-up comedian and writer Sharon Verma is set to make her Nepal debut with Sharon Verma Live, taking place on September 27, 2026.
The performance will take place at Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, with the show starting at 4:30 pm.
Verma is known for her observational and self-deprecating style of comedy.
She gained wider recognition after appearing on season one of India’s Got Latent, where her performance and “Weak Independent Woman” persona were widely discussed online.
During the appearance, Verma wrote on her form that she was a “weak independent woman”.
When Samay Raina asked her why, she replied: “I am unable to be a strong independent woman.
“I didn’t have generational wealth, so I had to become independent and I am at that stage that I can be dependent on any point.”
Her response left Samay and the other panellists in stitches, with the comedian even offering her an opportunity to open one of his stand-up gigs.
Following her India’s Got Latent appearance, Sharon Verma went on to build a loyal fanbase.
Alongside stand-up comedy shows across India, Verma has also released several videos, including Sensitive and Pressure, and now has more than one million followers on Instagram.
Sharon Verma recently appeared on India’s Got Latent 2 as a panellist, where she exchanged jokes with Samay Raina and poked fun at his Kashmiri roots.
Raina initially praised Verma and said he was proud of her before turning to her Bihari roots.
He said: “She is so Bihari that she thinks Ebola means someone said something.”
Verma responded with a joke about Raina’s Kashmiri background, saying:
“Samay is so Kashmiri, he loves getting stoned.”
Raina continued the exchange: “You know, Sharon Verma is a Bihari who came to Mumbai in search of a job. Just Bihari things.”
Verma then delivered the final punchline, telling Raina:
“At least I left my state by my choice.”
Viewers quickly praised Verma for matching Raina’s comic timing and giving him a taste of his own roasting style.
Sharon Verma’s Kathmandu performance will mark her first live show in Nepal. It will bring her comedy to audiences at Nepal Academy Hall, one of the capital’s established performance venues.
Sharon Verma Live is being organised by Pinnacle Entertainment, with Yash Bharadwaj serving as Strategic Consultant.
The show will take place on September 27 at 4:30 pm onwards at Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
