Hania Aamir fell victim to several deepfake videos and after it went viral, it attracted her attention, prompting an angry reaction.

The clips purportedly featured Hania donning various outfits.

These included a sleeveless crop top and a figure-hugging blue dress.

The videos quickly went viral, raising alarm as netizens believed Hania was showing off bold outfits.

Even some entertainment news pages reported them as real.

One such page posted a video with the caption: “Hania Aamir’s inappropriate video leaked.”

Upon discovering the video, Hania Aamir took to Instagram and stated the clips were AI-generated.

She said: “The bold video making rounds is fake and generated using AI.”

Hania also expressed her frustration with the media for spreading misinformation, calling for better accountability.

“Someone needs to explain to these showbiz websites that this video is not mine.”

Reposting the fake news story, Hania added:

“This AI stuff is very scary. Can there be some laws in place?

“These are NOT my videos if anyone is convinced they are.”

Stylist Mavi Kiani echoed Hania’s sentiments, condemning the perpetrators behind the deepfake videos.

She also emphasised the importance of holding individuals accountable for their harmful actions.

Mavi wrote: “This is horrible!! And yes there should be accountability!

“Shame on people who do it and have fun or get a thrill at other people’s expense, whoever you are I hope you rot in hell.”

As the situation unfolded, some fans identified the source of the deepfakes.

Highlighting the account, Hania urged her fans to report it.

She said: “I am blocked, but can you all report this account?”

After Hania Aamir’s Instagram Story, the account changed its name to “Core Sandhu” in an apparent attempt to avoid garnering attention.

The user later renamed the account again to “Sandhu Core.”

It was revealed that the account had changed its account name 18 times.

This highlighted the challenges faced in combating the proliferation of deepfake content.

Investigations revealed that the account was created in September 2022 in Chandigarh, India. It has amassed over 20,000 followers over the years.

Discussions arose regarding the implications of AI technology and the pressing necessity for stronger safeguards to prevent its misuse.

A user wrote: “FIA must take legal action. Today it is Hania Aamir.

“Tomorrow it will be our sisters, wives and daughters. This is a serious issue. Culprits must be behind the bars.”

Another said: “Yes there must be some rules this is totally pathetic.”
