"I feel disrespected by Hum TV.”

Pakistani singer Fabiha Hashmi has expressed her disappointment towards Hum TV for not being invited to the premiere of Ishq Murshid‘s final episode.

Her contribution is significant to the show’s success as she and Ahmed Jahanzeb performed the title track.

Despite the success, Fabiha was not invited to the event.

The premiere was attended by the cast and team members, as well as digital influencers.

However, Fabiha’s absence was noticeable and she took to social media to share her feelings about the injustice she faced.

She informed her fans that she was completely ignored by the team, despite her crucial role in the show’s success through the OST.

Fabiha wrote: “This is really sad to know that being a part of the team, they didn’t even invite me for the premiere.

Tera Mera Hai Piyar Amar female version became viral too and this is how they treated me. I feel disrespected by Hum TV.”

She stressed the importance of equal respect and recognition for female singers in Pakistan, comparable to their male counterparts.

The singer continued: “Knowing the fact that we don’t have enough female voices in our industry, still they treat us like sh*t. Enough of this hypocrisy. Shame on you all!

“I got so many dms and messages from people telling me how amazing the song is from all over the world and it crossed more than 10 million views on all the platforms and still they don’t care.

“I was quiet the whole time regardless of what was happening throughout but at the end of the day I am a human.”

Fabiha Hashmi’s fans have shown their support and solidarity with the singer.

The incident has sparked a conversation about the importance of recognising and appreciating the contributions of all team members.

This includes singers and musicians, who play a vital role in a show’s success.

It has also raised questions about the treatment of artists and musicians in the Pakistani entertainment industry.

A user questioned: “This is very sad and hurtful.

“She is clearly very hurt. And why wouldn’t she be, after all the hard work, she doesn’t even get an invite?”

Another asked: “The one reason this cr*p serial got fame was the theme song. How can they ignore the singers?”

One said: “She definitely deserves to get recognition and respect for her masterpiece song.”

Another wrote: “Hum TV is always being rude and disrespectful towards talented people.”
