"when the makers of Bigg Boss send me Rs. 25 Lakh."
Elvish Yadav has revealed that he still has not received the Rs. 25 Lakh (£24,000) cash prize for winning Bigg Boss OTT 2.
The YouTuber made the revelation on Desi Vibes with Shehnaaz Gill.
During the chat show, Shehnaaz asked Elvish when he was going to buy a third phone as he was carrying two phones.
Elvish then revealed that he already owned three mobile phones.
Shehnaaz subsequently asked: “When are you buying the fourth one?”
Elvish replied: “I will buy the fourth one too when the makers of Bigg Boss send me Rs. 25 Lakh.”
Shocked when she realised Elvish still had not received his Bigg Boss OTT 2 cash prize, Shehnaaz said:
“This is wrong.”
The pair also spoke about Elvish’s experience of filming a music video for a romantic track.
Shehnaaz asked Elvish: “Did you enjoy doing romance?”
Elvish laughed and replied: “I didn’t enjoy it; I didn’t do anything wrong.”
Elvish’s manager added: “It’s his first time doing it.”
Shehnaaz said: “It starts from the first time itself, just like the first time…”
Elvish continued: “But my scale remains the same, as far as it goes, I am comfortable holding hands, waist, that’s it, not beyond that.”
Shehnaaz probed further, asking Elvish if he enjoyed the experience despite his initial hesitation.
She expressed that the makers might make him explore more facets of romantic acting as he progresses in his career. However, Elvish interjected, firmly stating that he wouldn’t do more than what he had already done in his previous video.
The exchange prompted Shehnaaz to provide her insights on what it takes to be an actor in the truest sense.
She pointed out that actors often need to make sacrifices and perform according to the script’s requirements, even if it means portraying aspects of their personal lives differently.
Shehnaaz told Elvish:
“Yes, so you cannot become an actor, it means that the actor has to sacrifice.”
“You are showing your personal life, right, because of vlogging.
“What an actor gets professionally by acting, he has to do what he reads according to the script, what the script asks for.”
In August 2023, Elvish Yadav made history by becoming the first wildcard to win Bigg Boss OTT.
Abhishek Malhan was announced as the runner-up.
The other finalists of the show were Manisha Rani, Bebika Dhurve and Pooja Bhatt.
Bigg Boss OTT 2 was originally scheduled to air for six weeks, but the show’s run was extended as viewing numbers increased.
