"Please give some space to the person to breathe."

Ed Sheeran wrapped up his India tour with a final performance in Gurgaon on February 15, 2025, but it wasn’t just his music that left an impact.

Midway through the concert, he suddenly stopped performing for nearly five minutes after noticing a fan had fainted near the stage.

As he performed ‘Happier’, Ed saw the ailing fan and quickly stopped his concert.

The British singer said: “Ohh, there is someone who just fainted in the crowd… Please give some space to the person to breathe.”

He urged venue staff to ensure the fan received the required treatment and asked the audience to keep him updated about her progress.

Ed asked: “Please give me a thumbs up if everything is okay.”

He briefly stepped off stage while assistance was provided, then returned to restart the high-energy singalong.

The Gurgaon show marked the finale of his Mathematics India Tour, organised by BookMyShow Live.

Before reaching Gurgaon, Ed performed in Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Shillong.

The night began with a set from Lisa Mishra, who had the crowd hooked with her soulful voice and a mix of hits like ‘Mujhe Tum Nazar Se’, ‘Kabira’, and ‘Sajna Ve’.

When Ed took the stage, he launched straight into ‘Castle on the Hill’, sending fans into a frenzy. The cheers were deafening as he set the tone for a night to remember.

“It’s the last show of the tour—let’s go Delhi!

“I first came to India 10 years ago, played in Mumbai, then again last year.”

“But this is my first time in Delhi and I’m so excited to finally see all the incredible places across India that I’ve never had the chance to experience before.”

Ed Sheeran also delighted fans by showing his support for the Indian cricket team ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Wearing the national team’s shirt, he thanked the crowd.

On social media, netizens stated that he should be given Indian citizenship, as one wrote:

“Give Ed Sheeran his Aadhaar, Pan, and Ration card. Look at him ace the Dream 11 jersey. India love.”

Another tweeted: “Give him an Indian passport right now, I demand.”

A third added: “He is phenomenal.”
