Deepika Padukone Shines in White Lace and Sheer at Cannes 2018

The moment Bollywood fans have been waiting for is finally here. Deepika Padukone has made her first red carpet appearance at the 71st Cannes Film Festival.

Walking the red carpet on the afternoon of 10th May 2018, the Bollywood diva looked stunning in a white lace and sheer Zuhair Murad dress.

The exquisite halterneck gown hugs Deepika’s frame beautifully.

And while the cut of the dress is a classic, we absolutely love the way it has been updated by a flowing white lace cape that drapes over the actress’s shoulders.

As a prominent ambassador for L’Oreal Paris, Deepika has been fashioned by some of the best L’Oreal makeup products.

The highlight of this look is certainly the Pro Matte Liquid Lip – 314 Nude Allude which blends well with her angelic look.

With her long tresses flowing along with minimum accessories, many will agree that the Bollywood actress has definitely got it right this time.

Padukone travelled to the south of France from the US following another red carpet appearance earlier in May. The star turned heads in a red-hot avatar at the Met Gala in New York.

In comparison to the ‘cardinal red’ of that Prabal Gurung gown, this sheer look from Zuhair Murad seems like a clear winner.

2018 also marks Deepika Padukone’s second appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. She will also be walking the red carpet on 11th May to complete her Cannes programme.

Before walking the red carpet, the actress shared a picture all dressed up and captioned it: “Ready to rock and roll.”

All hail to Deepika’s amazing spirit! Previously while talking about her fashion choices, Deepika had said in an interview:

“Sometimes you might like what I wear and sometimes you might not like what I wear. And that’s totally okay. I am not dressing for you, I am dressing for myself. So, as long as I am having fun nothing else matters.”

Earlier in the day, Deepika was spotted in three different looks. The Padmaavat star kicked off the day with a casual look sporting denim jeans and a white crop top and oversized retro glasses.

Her second change was a colourful striped TOME NYC dress.

She completed this look with some amazing red Christian Louboutin shoes.

Later, Deepika chose to sport a dress with a flowy dress by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. She was seen posing like a true Bollywood queen in these pictures.

The oversized pink heart-shaped earrings worked their magic with this outfit.
