A source reported: “Auditions are a mandatory part of the casting process for The White Lotus. The makers were very keen on auditioning actors before signing them on.
“Deepika was not keen on auditioning, and that was the reason why The White Lotus opportunity had to be passed.”
This latest update marks the second time the Indian actress has turned down an offer for the popular anthology.
She previously declined the opportunity to join the third season while she was expecting her first child during that period. .
