The most loved couple of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh could be becoming first-time parents after the actress dropped hints.
The couple dated for six years before they tied the knot on December 14, 2018, in a lavish wedding ceremony at Lake Como, Italy.
Fans have admired their sizzling onscreen chemistry as well as their humorous and loving relationship off-screen.
Their loved-up pictures to their funny comments on each other’s social media posts have fans captivated as they continue to set couple goals.
Deepika was spotted dropping the first hint on Ranveer’s live chat on Instagram. She posted the comment: “Hi Daddie” with a baby emoji.
This has left fans wondering whether the couple is expecting their first child. To add to the speculations, Arjun Kapoor also chimed in saying, “Baba, Bhabhi is gonna give u one.”
Whether this was friendly teasing or if it was a subtle clue to the truth, we are yet to discover.
During a media interaction, while promoting her latest film, Chhapaak (2020), Deepika was asked whether she was pregnant. Deepika cleverly responded by asking whether she looks pregnant.
Despite this cryptic reply, Deepika Padukone added that if she is pregnant everyone will find out in nine months.
This led to Deepika being asked what type of mother she will be. She said: “I’ll figure that out when it happens, it depends when it happens in my life.”
She continued to mention how parenting is a joint effort. Deepika explained:
“Parenting is not one person’s responsibility, it’s the responsibility of two people. It really depends on how we together decide to parent.
“No matter how much people tell you about parenting, at the end, you’re gonna be a father and a mother for the first time.
“The child is a newborn, you are also a new parent and you will figure it out along the way.”
Deepika went on to mention how she believes she will be the stricter parent, while Ranveer will be the more easy-going one. She said:
“I do know I will be the disciplinarian and he will be the one who indulges. I know my children will value me when they get older.”
Recently the actress celebrated her 34th birthday on Sunday, January 5, 2020, in a distinctive way.
Before heading off to Lucknow, Deepika Padukone had a special celebration at Mumbai Airport along with Ranveer and her fans.
The actress was seen wearing a vibrant orange jumper with a satin striped shirt and blue-lined jeans.
Her husband Ranveer was spotted in an oversized chequered coat, a pale blue shirt, jeans and a cap.
In an adorable gesture, a fan of the actress was waiting with a birthday cake. Deepika was fed by the fan before she fed a piece of cake to Ranveer.
Prior to this, Deepika also celebrated her birthday along with Chhapaak director Meghna Gulzar and her co-star Vikrant Massey.
On the acting front, Deepika Padukone is gearing up to the release of her upcoming film, Chhapaak. The film is set to hit to the big screen on January 10, 2020.
