Gigi Hadid has shared how she and her ex-boyfriend Zayn co-parent their daughter, Khai.
The former couple began dating in 2015 and welcomed Khai on September 19, 2020.
Their relationship was on and off before they split for good in October 2021.
Despite the breakup, they remain committed to raising Khai, now four, together.
Gigi is one of the world’s most in-demand models, while Zayn has relaunched his solo music career, recently completing his first solo tour.
Speaking about how they manage parenting alongside their busy schedules, Gigi, who appears on the cover of Vogue’s April 2025 issue, said:
“Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance.
“That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs.
“There is the hard part of the world knowing this much, and thinking they know everything.
“And at the end of the day, we’re not interested in giving everyone our whole story.
“What we are interested in is raising our daughter together, with so much respect for each other, and not just as co-parents, but what we’ve been through together.”
Gigi Hadid also spoke briefly about her relationship with actor and filmmaker Bradley Cooper. They have been linked since October 2023.
She told Vogue that the Hollywood star had introduced her to new experiences.
“Bradley has opened me up to going to the theatre more, and that’s something that’s so nice to bring back into my life.”
Gigi previously shared how she and Zayn would co-parent their daughter during Christmas.
The model had said: “Everything’s more special seeing it through her eyes.”
Revealing most parents’ least favourite Christmas tradition, Gigi said at the time:
“This year, Zayn and I are in cahoots starting Elf on the Shelf.”
Gigi Hadid and Zayn have kept much of their personal lives private.
However, their approach to co-parenting highlights a mutual effort to balance their careers with family life.
Zayn, who rarely gives interviews, has previously spoken about fatherhood, describing it as life-changing.
Gigi Hadid has also expressed how motherhood has reshaped her priorities.
By maintaining a structured co-parenting arrangement, they ensure stability for Khai while navigating their demanding careers.
