Officers noticed that they seemed to be in a hurry.
A deaf woman was arrested on September 3, 2020, in Lahore after it was discovered that she killed her mother so that she could be with her lover.
The lover was also arrested for his role in the murder.
It was revealed that the victim was killed because she disapproved of their relationship.
The matter came to light on August 22, 2020, after a 48-year-old woman named Bismillah Bibi was found dead at her home.
Police arrived at the scene and registered a case. They launched an investigation into the murder. They also filed an abduction case because the daughter was not at home.
However, they became suspicious that the daughter was involved after checking the security camera footage near the house.
They saw the young woman and a man leaving the area on a motorbike in the early hours of the morning. Officers noticed that they seemed to be in a hurry.
Police located the pair’s whereabouts after acting on a tip-off. They took them into custody for questioning where it was revealed that they were responsible for Bismillah’s death.
Officers also discovered that both the young man and woman were deaf and were lovers.
The deaf woman was identified as Fajar while her lover was named Azeem.
In her statement, Fajar told police that they met each other while studying at the same school. They became friends and eventually decided that they wanted to marry each other.
However, when Fajar told her mother of her plans, Bismillah disapproved of the idea.
While police do not yet know why Bismillah was against the marriage, they know that it enraged her daughter.
Fajar then explained that with the help of Azeem, they killed her mother.
On the day of the killing, Fajar video called her lover and asked him to meet her at her home.
The two lovers planned to elope but when Bismillah heard about it, she tried to stop them. In the heat of the moment, the pair stabbed the mother as well as bludgeon her to death with a hammer.
Following the killing, the lovers left the area on Azeem’s motorbike which was parked outside the house.
Fajar and Azeem have been remanded in custody following their statement. However, the investigation is ongoing to find out the reason for Bismillah’s disapproval towards their intention to get married.
