Indian Woman killed by Son-in-Law who was Her Lover

An Indian woman was killed by her lover on October 20, 2019, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Police later discovered that the victim’s lover was also her son-in-law.

The incident took place at their apartment in Ashoka Vihar Colony, Ashoka Garden.

The victim was identified as Shaheen while the suspect has been named as Shahrukh Khan.

According to the police, Shaheen had divorced her husband and lived with Khan at the apartment. They had been living together for nearly three years.

Shahrukh had been married to Shaheen’s daughter. However, Khan and Shaheen soon became attracted to each other and began having an affair.

The rest of the family found out and objected but the lovers continued with their relationship and eventually moved to an apartment in Ashoka Garden.

Investigating officers revealed that Shaheen and Khan had a heated argument which led to the killing. It was reportedly over her work as a prostitute.

Khan repeatedly told her of his disapproval and told Shaheen to stop but she continued.

Officers explained that Shaheen was previously arrested for being a sex worker as well as running a prostitution ring. The Indian woman was taken into custody following a raid.

She spent several days in custody before being released. However, upon her release, she went back to prostitution.

Shahrukh had told her to stop and had threatened to end their relationship numerous times.

Shaheen would say that she would stop, convincing Shahrukh but would then continue.

Due to her sex work, the lovers regularly argued. On the evening of October 19, 2019, the mother-in-law and son-in-law reportedly quarrelled about her prostitution.

The row became heated after she refused to give up her sex work which led to Khan becoming enraged.

He strangled her to death before calling a friend to explain what he had done.

The next day at 6 am, Khan called the police and confessed that he had killed Shaheen. He then left the flat.

Police reached the flat and registered a case of murder against the suspect. The took the body and ordered a post-mortem to be conducted.

Officers found out they were lovers as well as mother-in-law and son-in-law after speaking to family members. They established that the reason for the killing was over her prostitution work.

Police officers are currently trying to locate and arrest Shahrukh, who remains on the run.
