Bablu became concerned and began looking for her.
A police case has been registered against a man after a married Indian woman was found dead in a lake.
The victim was identified as Sujata, a woman originally from Madhya Pradesh but residing in Faridabad, Haryana.
Her body was discovered lying in Death Valley lake. It is believed that she was strangled to death before her body was dumped in the lake.
According to the woman’s husband, he claimed that her lover was responsible for her murder. Sujata’s alleged lover Suresh was also her supervisor at the factory where she worked.
The murder came to light when Bablu was out searching for his wife and came across her body.
Bablu informed the police and they arrived at the scene. Officers sent Sujata’s body for a post-mortem while they began questioning the husband.
He told officers that he had been married to Sujata since 2011. Bablu said he lived with his wife and their two children.
Both the husband and wife worked in factories in the city.
Suresh was Sujata’s supervisor at the factory. As the two worked together often, Sujata took a liking to Suresh. As a result, they were always together while at work.
Bablu suspected that they were having an affair after hearing his wife talking to Suresh over the phone one night.
Due to his suspicions, Bablu went to the factory and confronted Suresh. He also told Sujata not to call him again.
Bablu explained that he would usually go to work on Saturday while Sujata was at home.
On February 29, 2020, Bablu was not feeling well so he returned home early. However, he found that his wife was not at home.
Bablu became concerned and began looking for her. Whilst out, he saw his cousin Jitendra and asked him if he had seen the Indian woman.
Jitendra said he saw Sujata travelling with Suresh towards Anangpur.
When he found out that they had not gone to Suresh’s house, Bablu continued searching and went to Death Valley lake.
While at the lake, he spotted a body lying in the water. When he approached it, he discovered that it was his wife.
After calling the police, he explained what had happened and accused Suresh of murder.
Based on Bablu’s complaint, a case of murder has been registered against the factory supervisor under the Indian Penal Code.
The body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem was conducted.
An investigation is ongoing as police are searching for the accused.
