Suhani Bhatnagar has sadly passed away at the age of 19.
According to reports, the teenager had been undergoing treatment for fluid accumulation in her body for some time.
Suhani was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi after a reaction caused by medication.
However, it has not been confirmed what was the cause of her death.
The news shocked fans and they expressed their grief on social media.
One said: “Devastating to know that Suhani Bhatnagar, who played little Babita in Dangal, passed away aged 19.
“Really terrible such a fine talent. Very very sad.”
Another said: “Well this is sad! May God give strength to the family to cope with the loss. Gone too soon! RIP.”
One comment read: “I cannot believe she is no more.”
Aamir Khan reacted to Suhani’s death. On the Aamir Khan Productions X account, a statement read:
“We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away.
“Our heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji, and the entire family.
“Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani.
“Suhani, you will always remain a star in our hearts. May you rest in peace.”
A fan said: “Deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Dangal actress Suhani Bhatnagar, who portrayed the young Babita Phogat.
“My heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones. Om Shanti.”
Writing about the reported cause of death, one said:
“Dangal actress Suhani Bhatnagar passed away at the age of 19.
“Some time ago, she had an accident which resulted in a fracture in her leg.
“The medications she took during treatment had such a side effect on her slowly her body began to accumulate fluid.”
One comment read: “RIP Suhani Bhatnagar, who gained fame from the movie Dangal is no longer with us.
“Yes, Suhani Bhatnagar passed away at the age of 19. She became famous as Aamir Khan’s on-screen daughter.”
Since the announcement of her death, her final Instagram post has gone viral.
Sharing sun-kissed pictures of herself from November 2021, Suhani captioned the post:
“November?”
Instagram users paid tribute in the post’s comment section.
Suhani Bhatnagar was best known for playing a young Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan’s superhit Dangal.
The 2016 film remains the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
Focusing on the famed Phogat family, Dangal also starred Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles.
Prior to Dangal, Suhani had featured in several ads.
