Chris Gayle loves to entertain fans on the cricket pitch as well as off it and now he has collaborated with Indian rapper Emiway Bantai to release a hip-hop track.

The song, titled ‘Jamaica to India’, sees the pair rapping together in an apartment, surrounded by bikini-clad women.

While Gayle raps his lyrics in English, Emiway sticks to Hindi lyrics.

The lyrics were created by Emiway and Gayle’s team while the music has been produced by Tony James.

Emiway Bantai is known for his niche style, music and out-of-the-box lyrics.

‘Jamaica to India’ has party vibes and is a sound for the summer. It also has a Caribbean flair to it, honouring Gayle’s Jamaican heritage.

Gayle, the self-acclaimed ‘Universe Boss’, shared a clip of the song on Twitter and captioned it:

“Jamaica To India OUT NOW @emiway_bantai.”

The song was released on YouTube on April 11, 2021, and it has over 12.7 million views.

Fans enjoyed the song, with many praising Chris Gayle’s energy throughout the hip-hop track.

One user called it a “party blast”.

Another said: “Deadly combination bro u killed it.”

A third wrote: “I’m a big fan of both of you. Loved it.”

One netizen expressed how much they loved the song, writing:

“This song is something else. Not like a normal song. It seems like one but It has its own attracting power.

“I don’t know why I so much love this song but this song is just amazing.”

Chris Gayle had previously announced that he would be releasing a song with popular artist Emiway Bantai.

He had posted: “From Jamaica to India you know it’s Chris Gayle & Emiway Bantai bro, it was a pleasure meeting and working with you, you’re such a humble soul super talented and a true professional!

“I had a blast shooting our song together, can’t wait for it to drop!! Big respect.”

This is not the first song that the popular cricketer has released.

In 2020, he collaborated with British singer Avina Shah to release ‘Groove‘.

It was a completely different style compared to ‘Jamaica to India’, offering a more pop style.

On the cricket pitch, Gayle featured in the latter stages of the 2020 IPL season where he scored 288 runs from seven innings.

For the current season, Gayle scored 40 runs in one match.

Gayle also has the most career sixes in the popular tournament, scoring 351 sixes.

This is followed by former South Africa cricketer AB de Villiers, who has 237 sixes.
