South Korean boyband, BTS’ latest mega-hit release, ‘Dynamite’ has captivated India as numerous stars are grooving to the tune.
BTS is made up of seven male members – RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. They made their debut on the music scene in June 2013.
Since then, they have gone on to achieve global recognition capturing the hearts of millions of fans.
The much-loved boyband is also well-known for its historic record-breaking spree.
For example, BTS reached number one at the Billboard Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks. In fact, they were the first Korean act to achieve this.
In just 24 hours, ‘Dynamite’ garnered 101.1 million views on YouTube making it the most viewed video on YouTube in one day.
Not only that but the track topped the iTunes chart in a staggering 104 countries/regions.
It does not stop here. BTS was also the first Korean band to find themselves in Spotify’s Global Top 50 with ‘Dynamite’.
They also performed the single for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards. BTS also won an award in all four categories they were nominated for.
These include Best Pop, Best Group, Best K-Pop and Best Choreography.
In India, it appears fans are experiencing the ‘Dynamite’ fever. The track also topped the Spotify India Top 50 chart.
In fact, ‘Dynamite’ has fast become a favourite amongst celebrities, dance crews and influencers in India.
Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff took to Instagram to share a video of himself dancing to ‘Dynamite.’ He captioned it:
“Anyone else in love with bts’ new single!”
His video has received more than three and a half million views on the popular social media site.
Actress Urvashi Rautela also shared a video of herself listening to ‘Dynamite’. She is seen jamming along to BTS’ track on a plane.
Indian YouTuber, Aashna Shroff posted a video of herself getting ready while listening to ‘Dynamite’. She wrote:
“Today’s look with my new favourite song.”
Popular dance crew, Kings United India uploaded a choreographed dance routine to the hit song. They captioned it:
“This ones for the A.R.M.Y.”
American dancer, Lauren Gottlieb who works in the India film industry shared a video of her first online dance class featuring ‘Dynamite’.
There is no doubt these videos posted by several influential stars in India are further spreading the hit song.
