Bollywood singer Neeti Mohan and her husband, actor Nihaar Pandya, announced they are expecting their first child together.
They made the pregnancy announcement on their second wedding anniversary through an Instagram post.
Introducing themselves as future parents, the couple wrote:
“1+1= 3. Mommy to be and Daddy to be… what better day to announce than our second anniversary!”
Nihaar Pandya also added a sweet anniversary wish for wife Neeti Mohan:
“You make everything worth it!”
Mohan and Pandya got married on February 15, 2019, at the Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad.
On their big day, many prominent personalities like Sania Mirza, Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife Tahira Kashyap, and Aparshakti were present.
Tahira Kashyap was one of the first to congratulate the two on their pregnancy announcement by commenting:
“Yay… yay… yay.”
Actress Shraddha Kapoor added: “Congratulations guys.”
Gauahar Khan sent the couple her best wishes with this comment:
“OMG, congratulations you two… god bless always.”
The couple shared beautiful pictures of their pregnancy photoshoot in the Instagram announcement post.
Neeti Mohan and her sisters appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show where Nihaar also joined them and later proposed to her.
During the show, Nihaar Pandya opened up about his longtime love story with Neeti Mohan by saying:
“A friend was a part of Aasma – the band that Neeti also had an association with.
“I always asked that friend to introduce me to Neeti, but it never happened.
“Surprisingly, at the same friend’s wedding in Goa, almost a year ago, I met Neeti formally.
“I was in love with her… There on started our love story.”
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Neeti Mohan even talked about her anxiety over Covid-19 while she was on vacation in Australia in 2020.
Recalling that period, she explained:
“It was just the onset [of the pandemic], but the numbers suddenly increased.
“When we heard that actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, who were also in Australia, had contracted coronavirus, it was alarming.
“They were shooting in the same country, and I got an anxiety attack thinking if someone of that league can get it, we might also get affected.
“Our parents also called us and asked us to return immediately.”
Mohan made her Bollywood debut with the song ‘Ishq Wala Love’ composed by Vishal & Shekhar for the movie Student of the Year in 2012.
One of her biggest successes is ‘Jiya Re’ from Jab Tak Hai Jaan which was composed by AR Rahman.
For her work in both songs, Neeti Mohan won the RD Burman Award for New Music Talent at the Annual Filmfare awards, and the Best Female Playback Singer for ‘Jiya Re’.
