Acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is set to return to the global spotlight with his latest film, Bandar.
The film, starring Bobby Deol and Sanya Malhotra, will have its world premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
The festival is scheduled to take place from September 4 to 14, 2025.
The announcement came on July 22, 2025, when the makers revealed the film’s official poster and title.
The poster, shared by Bobby Deol on Instagram, offered the first glimpse of his brooding look from the film.
He wrote: “The story that should not have been told… But is the Official Selection at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival 2025.
“Our film inspired from true events is premiering at #tiff50.”
Industry peers and fans flooded the post with praise and excitement.
Sunny Deol responded with heart and thumbs-up emojis, while Vikrant Massey commented:
