Mattel has introduced its first-ever “Barbie Diwali Doll,” celebrating the Indian festival of Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, which falls on November 1, 2024.

Depending on their traditions, some may begin their Diwali festivities on October 31.

The new doll is a collaboration with renowned Indian designer Anita Dongre, featuring a traditional outfit that includes a choli (cropped top), a koti (floral vest), and a lehenga (ankle-length skirt).

The lehenga is adorned with intricate floral patterns of dahlias, jasmine, and lotus, representing strength and beauty.

Golden bangles and earrings complete the look, symbolising the radiant lights of the festival.
